Ravindra Jadeja steps into politics, joins Narendra Modi’s BJP | The Express Tribune


Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has formally stepped into politics via becoming a member of Top Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Birthday party (BJP), in line with Indian media stories. 

Jadeja’s access into politics follows within the footsteps of his spouse, Rivaba Jadeja, who’s already a BJP Member of the Legislative Meeting (MLA) from Jamnagar.

Rivaba took to X to announce the scoop, sharing photographs of the couple retaining their brandnew BJP club playing cards. 

She discussed the birthday celebration’s ongoing club power, which commenced on September 2 and integrated the renewal of PM Modi’s club.

Rivaba joined the BJP in 2019 and effectively contested the Jamnagar North meeting seat within the 2022 elections, defeating Aam Aadmi Birthday party (AAP) candidate Karshanbhai Karmur via over 50,000 votes.

Ravindra Jadeja, 35, not too long ago retired from T20 global cricket then Bharat’s ancient victory within the 2024 T20 Global Cup towards South Africa in June. 

Since his debut in 2009, Jadeja has represented Bharat in 74 T20I suits, scoring 515 runs at a crash fee of 127.16 and taking 54 wickets with a mean of 29.85. 

Along with his political walk now underway, Jadeja joins the ranks of sports activities stars who’ve transitioned to family provider.
