COLUMBIA, S.C. — Bob Marcum, who served as athletic director at Kansas, South Carolina, UMass and Marshall, has died a couple of days then struggling a stroke. He used to be 87.
South Carolina, UMass and Marshall’s athletic areas all introduced Marcum’s demise Wednesday, a hour then he died. Arkansas schoolteacher John Calipari, who labored beneath Marcum at Massachusetts, posted on social media Sunday that Marcum used to be hospitalized then headaches from a stroke.
Calipari posted about Marcum’s demise Tuesday, announcing the 2 spent moment in combination within the health facility.

Marcum served as athletic at Kansas from 1978-82 earlier than transferring directly to South Carolina for 6 years. He led the UMass athletic segment from 1993-2002 earlier than committing to Marshall govern that program till he retired in 2009.
